Advent is the season of the year where Christians take time to tell the story of Jesus’ birth and remember His divine mission to earth as our Savior. We invite you to participate and collaborate with us as we observe Advent. Each Sunday of December you have the opportunity to engage with tactile prayer prompts and art projects during the dcf gathering. Feel free to bring something you’ve created at home and we will display it in the gallery. The Advent Art Experience will also be available all hours that The Living Room is open for the month of December. We look forward to expressing Hope, Peace, Joy and Love with you!

Advent Art Experience//Sundays Dec 3 – 24//dcf gatherings (10am)

We invite you to participate with us as we observe Advent. Advent is a time of year set aside for expectant waiting and preparation of Jesus’ first and second coming. The first being His birth, the second being His return at the end of time. The word “advent” comes from a Latin word meaning “coming”. At dcf we believe in process and we love to move through each of the four weeks leading up to Christmas focusing on the Hope, Peace, Joy and Love that Jesus brings the world.

In addition to the Advent Wreath Prayer Activity and Community Advent Project each week we will be creating and displaying art. Our art gallery is open to anyone and we welcome all kinds of creative expression. We have walls and tables available for you.

Consider being a part of the Advent Art Experience this year! Stay tuned for pictures as we curate this art gallery together.

For more information contact Julie Spoelstra at joshandjulie.spoelstra@gmail.com or Emily Boyter at boyteremily@gmail.com.

Thanksgiving Feast & Operation Christmas Child//This Past Sunday//dcf building

Wow did we feast and celebrate on Sunday evening! We had a great turn-out and TONS of food. At dcf, we are so thankful for each and every person who attended and for all the hands that contributed. God has truly blessed dcf!

Concession Squad Update//Saturdays//CU home games

A team of dedicated and hardworking dcf-er’s worked 7 home games during football season, raising just under $3,500! This money is a great help to dcf’s current campaign to stabilize our finances. Good job team!

dcf Financial Update

We have shared previously about the current financial volatility of dcf. As we approach the end of 2017 we are taking steps to reach out along relational lines and build up our support system. For more details please read this letter to dcf friends.

Grace and Peace!
