Who we are
The DCF children’s ministry exists to lead children into a deep and intimate relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit by teaching them foundational Biblical truths in a fun and engaging environment. We desire for our children to learn how to pray, hear God’s voice, and obey. We are equipping our children to be firmly rooted in God and know how to love the people around them. We believe that they are powerful and active members of the church and desire for them to participate with the larger body in a meaningful way. We also desire for our children to have authentic experiences with God in an age appropriate setting.
“…to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen” –Ephesians 3:21
“They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor.” -Isaiah 61:3
On Sunday mornings, children will worship with their parents in the beginning of the service. They will be blessed and dismissed before the sermon to participate in an age appropriate lesson led by a team of volunteers. The children’s ministry is split into 2 groups: infants and toddlers (ages 3 months to 3 years) and younger children (ages 4-8). Children will participate in a time of an engaging and relevant bible lesson, prayer, an activity connected with the lesson, and snack. The younger children’s lesson is lead by a team of “lead teachers” who have degrees in education or have had ample experience teaching and leading children. Parents will pick their children up in the kid’s room after the service. The kid’s room is located on the second level of the building.
